Hidden in the wild romantic Baybachtal in the Hunsrück lies the Schmausemühle – a hotel and restaurant surrounded by nature, far from noise and close to oneself. Those who arrive here quickly sense: Everyday life recedes, the view widens, and the breath becomes calmer.

For over 450 years, the mill has been a place of arrival. As a family-run hotel in Hunsrück, it has been lovingly developed for decades – today by the youngest generation of host Natascha Sander together with her team. History, tranquility, and contemporary comfort naturally intertwine here – without losing the character of the house.

Our mill has 18 individually furnished rooms, including two with triple bed options and two that can be used as family rooms. Single use is possible upon request. In seven rooms, your dog is welcome to accompany you.
In addition to overnight stays/breakfast, we also offer a range of varied package deals at attractive prices. After a restful night in the wonderful tranquility of the forest, we pamper our guests with our delicious mill breakfast. After all, we want you to feel comfortable!
