For years, stages 20 - 24 from Mörsdorf to Boppard have enjoyed great popularity and many say that they are among the most beautiful sections of the trail. This assessment is confirmed by the certification of the German Hiking Institute. Stage 22 Schmausemühle - Morshausen through the Baybachklamm gorge and over the Murscher Eselsche is the No. 1 of all 27 stages with 103 experience points. Stage 23 from Morshausen through the Ehrbachklamm gorge to Oppenhausen is in second place with an average of 82 points: The Baybach and Ehrbach gorges are perhaps the most beautiful hiking valleys in the Hunsrück. Castles such as Ehrenburg, Burg Waldeck or the Baldiunseck ruins or views such as the Vierseenblick or the Eifelfernsichten round off the hiking experience. Other highlights: The Hunsrück Railway, steepest railway line north of the Alps or the suspension rope bridge for the thrill in between.
