The chapel, which is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, was built by Philipp Kapellen. His granddaughter Petra Hehn lives next door and very lovingly takes care of this small place of worship. The grandfather thanked with the construction of the Blessed Mother that all had returned safely from the war. The chapel was built in 1953 - 1954 and was solemnly consecrated on May 31st with a big celebration. Part of the figures, Mother of God and chalice were donated by various people. Once a year, usually at the end of May, a saint is celebrated in this chapel. On May 1, the pilgrims of the parish of Emmelshausen pray here on their way to Bornhofen.
