The Peterchesmühle Ten minutes later, after the Basselscheid Bauernmühle, we arrive at the Peterchesmühle, once also called Linke- and even earlier Werdingsmühle after its owners. Around 1750, the family of Peter and Margarethe Werding is mentioned in the church book of the parish of Gondershausen. The last miller was Karl Link, who in the 1930s took a Moselle girl as his wife in the lonely mill. This is worth mentioning because in former times the relations between Mosel and Hunsrück were not so good. Even today, one can occasionally hear from "seasoned Mosel people" that they would rather put up with a flood three or four times a year than live in Hunsrück for even one day.
