Zentrum am Park - The ZAP is the lively center of the city Shortly before eight in the evening. The audience flows past the traffic circle into the center of the park. The box office is closed. A big sign says: "Performance sold out! For most visitors a familiar picture. Old acquaintances meet in the foyer. A little bit aside stands the satisfied landlord watching. He knows: Until the house is full, it is a hard work. The nice thing about it is that many guests belong to the regular audience. This is evidence of a well-done program. As one of the guests put it: "The ZAP actually offers something for everyone! Whether young or old. The healthy mixture of cabaret, theater and music makes it happen! A lot has happened since the first performance at the ZAP in the summer of 1993. Personalities from the world of art and culture have come and gone. Most of them even come more than once. "We get feedback time and again that the artists have enjoyed the ZAP very much. Personally or also later via the management. When, after the first appointment with their agency, artists for whom we have fought for a long time say, "I'll definitely go back there," we are naturally very pleased and this confirms us in our work," says Thomas Biersch, director of the ZAP in Emmelshausen. No wonder that the Kulturkreis Region Emmelshausen e.V. was also able to develop so well. From zero to a thousand members in just over three years. This testifies to the consistent quality and professionalism of the ZAP ... and to the advantages the association offers (e.g. 10 % reduction on admission fees, no advance booking fee, right of first refusal). The Kulturkreis Region Emmelshausen e.V. is the largest cultural association in the Rhine-Hunsrück district and with more than 2500 members by now certainly one of the largest in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Kulturkreis organizes about 50 events per year. In addition to the Zentrum am Park, the "Alte Bahnhof", the oldest building in the young town of Emmelshausen, serves as another venue. The "Kleinkünstler" from the region give guest performances there. But the ZAP is also an ideal location for meetings and conferences. Equipped with the latest technology, it is an ideal venue for meetings, seminars and symposia. The building can accommodate up to 550 visitors. Several hundred parking spaces are available. And they are all free of charge. An affiliated restaurant provides for the physical well-being. In summer, the large beer garden in the nearby park invites you to linger. And for those who would like to visit an event at the ZAP and, in addition, enjoy the region "right at the front of the Hunsrück", the Rhine-Moselle triangle offers information about the tourist highlights of the Vorderhunsrück.
