Since March 2021, a bookshelf in Pfalzfeld has been providing reading material for all citizens of the village. This "piece of furniture" is open 24/7 and operates on a simple system: Someone places their already read books in the shelf, and others take them out in return. The "book guardians" Renate Schöller and Rainer Schumann ensure that everything is always organized and that there is plenty of reading material available for young and old alike. The bookshelf, sponsored by Westnetz AG, is located at the new bus waiting area "Am Backesplatz" and is a great offering, with which the community enlivens public space and supports the culture of sharing.
