Boxbergerhof am Erzweg

56329 St. Goar

The Boxbergerhof looks back on a centuries-long history. The fields, meadows and forests around the Boxbergerhof, like the farm itself, were for centuries in the possession of the knightly family Brand von Werlau. The latter had divided the land into numerous pieces and left it to farmers to work. In return, the farmers had to deliver half of their harvest to the lord and perform services for him. The part that the farmers were allowed to keep was often barely enough to feed their families.
