At the entrance to Gondershausen you will see the landmark in the traffic circle, three whisks (made of steel) stretched into the air. They point to the old tradition of the "Gonderscher Besembenner". Not far from the traffic circle there is a wooden Besembenner monument since April 2012. The people of Obergondershausen earned part of their money by tying brooms - and so the nickname "Gonderscher Besembenner" soon arose. There are made "natural brooms" - brushwood from birch trees, with handles made of hazelnut wood.
